CALIFORNIA - Part 3

Wednesday was a full day as well. (Every day in CA was. But so worth it.) I went to breakfast with Kel, then Jason, Rhonda, Ian, Melina, and I went to Cassidy and Jesse's to play and swim. We played and swam and played all day! So much fun in the sun. It was Melina's birthday the previous day, so we were planning on celebrating by taking all the kiddos mini golfing up in Twain Harte. (We did this last year and all of them haven't stopped talking about it since.) But not before some cake!

This was just a blast with them. I love all these kiddos so much. Unfortunately, after all of this we were heading down to Vallejo for the last leg of our trip, so we had to say goodbye. But Cassidy and Jesse sang us some sweet songs, and we even got the traditional send-off moment. Which I love.

So Thursday morning we went from Vallejo to Santa Rosa to visit Jason's Grandma Biehl. We had a delicious lunch together, showed us around her beautiful community, and then showed us the ropes on Bocce Ball. And she's a pro! She blew us all out of the water with that game.

After our visit with G-ma Biehl, we were heading to SF to see our good friends Cameron and Shannon. We had a little bit of time to kill so we stopped and took some pictures with the beautiful Golden Gate. I just love San Francisco and all the beauty it has to offer. Next time I go I want to do some of the hikes near the bridge.
And finally we had dinner with Cameron and Shannon in their cute little SF apartment. We were even able to go to the roof and see the awesome view of the city. After dinner, we took the short walk to their favorite new local spot...a donut shop of course! And they didn't disappoint. It was so fun catching up and seeing them in their new life! It's exciting that they live so close to home and aren't too far to visit while we are there.

After an amazing, yet exhausting week of traveling and seeing so many familiar faces that we love, it was time to come back to Provo Friday morning. We just loved our trip and our hometown of Sonora. We definitely wouldn't be surprised if we end up there after Jason graduates.
