Loveland Living Planet Aquarium

As it's summertime, and I have lots of time off, and Jason has some time off, we have been having lots of fun. One afternoon we decided to take a trip with the Palmers up to Draper to the new(ish) Loveland Living Planet Aquarium and check it out. 

The one and only aquarium I've ever been exposed to in Monterey Bay Aquarium in California, so I have pretty high expectations. But this one was pretty impressive for being in the middle of a desert. I thought that was the weirdest thing, by the way. An aquarium nowhere near the ocean. But it was really cool! They had all kinds of different "lands." One section was dedicated to South America and the animals that live there. Another was Utah animals. Another was ocean animals. And they had a huge play area which was probably Bailey's favorite part. 

He can hardly bear to take a normal picture. 

These were South American river fish and they were GINORMOUS!

 

Penguins! In Utah! They were so cute.
